Presentation

Le GEA - in the World of Wonder' co-working areas on the ground floor are designed by HUB48.

It is a combination of different experiences and complementary skills, through the designers' approach, bringing together different visions, specialisations and sensibilities in a shared and integrated approach to design.
Since the whole is different from the sum of its parts, different experiences enable an adaptable and functional design method. It is a synthesis between the needs of the client and an own language in constant evolution.
The concept takes inspiration from two distinct but fascinating worlds: on the one hand the vitality of the Earth Goddess, on the other the enchanted and timeless atmosphere of 'Alice in Wonderland'.

The aim is to find the balance between these two seemingly distant worlds. Our representation of the pristine environment breaks away from the use of traditional green tones, embracing instead a more organic and fluid palette, with a focus on the primary source of life: water.

The communal spaces of this hotel are transformed into a sustainable co-working environment, where the perfection of the golden section and natural balance guide every aspect of design in a welcoming and harmonious atmosphere that fosters creativity and collaboration.

GEA's sustainable principles

  • Careful design to minimise material waste during construction and installation;
  • Use of materials produced in a sustainable and climate-neutral manner, which implies the adoption of circular economy principles;
  • Linoleum flooring as an environmentally friendly solution, made of natural raw materials 98%
    and renewables, produced at 100% with green energy and multiple reusability;
  • Use of recycled melamine with low environmental impact.
  • Enhancement of natural light through the functional orientation of the space, combined with a low-consumption LED lighting system;
  • Choice of vertical wall coverings oriented towards the use of materials that not only reduce waste going to landfill, but also help to reduce the demand for virgin raw materials, reducing the overall environmental impact;
  • Modular design, with furniture conceived to ensure flexibility of use, functional optimisation, in line with the principles of adaptability and durability, both in terms of construction quality and aesthetics.
